Jacob & Co. has introduced an enhanced edition of its renowned Billionaire timepiece, showcasing a groundbreaking "angel-cut" diamond. This latest model, presented approximately eleven years after the original's debut, features a unique diamond cut meticulously crafted to intensify its luminosity beyond that of conventional stones.

The patented "angel cut," named in homage to founder Jacob Arabo's wife, Angela, and their 37 years of marriage, was developed internally over two years. This distinctive cut incorporates 37 precisely positioned facets, fewer than many traditional cuts, yet each strategically placed to amplify the diamond's inherent brilliance. This innovative design results in a crisp, flowing, and remarkably three-dimensional light quality, fostering a continuous glow across the diamond's surface and enhancing its internal reflection and upward light return for superior vibrancy and sparkle. The Billionaire Double Tourbillon is the first in its series, and globally, to be adorned with these exceptional angel-cut stones, departing from the emerald and Asscher cuts seen in earlier Billionaire models.

The CEO of Jacob & Co., Benjamin Arabov, emphasized the deliberate choice to feature the angel cut in this prestigious platform, stating that a patented cut designed to redefine diamond-light interaction warrants a stage of comparable grandeur. The timepiece's 41 mm white-gold casing is embellished with 98 angel-cut diamonds, collectively weighing over 51 carats. The dial is further adorned with 88 angel-cut gems, totaling 11 carats, alongside 80 baguette-cut stones amounting to 1.14 carats. The white-gold clasp of the blue alligator leather strap is invisibly set with 30 angel-cut stones, weighing 15.72 carats, and the crown is crowned with a 1-carat rose-cut diamond. In total, the watch dazzles with 298 white diamonds, approximately 79 carats in weight, with 216 of these featuring the unique angel cut. Amidst this opulent display, two flying one-minute tourbillons are symmetrically positioned at 12 and 6 o'clock, demonstrating Jacob & Co.'s technical prowess. The intricate inner workings of the hand-wound movement are visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, revealing its skeletonized architecture. Comprising some 460 components, the JCAM50 caliber operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and boasts a 72-hour power reserve. Arabov concluded that the Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel Cut transcends mere rarity or carat weight; it embodies innovation, precision, symmetry, and the confidence to establish a new benchmark. This exquisite watch is part of a limited edition of just 18 pieces, with pricing available upon request.
