Grand Seiko introduces a significant enhancement to its dive watch collection with the release of two new Evolution 9 Spring Drive Ushio 300 models. Building on the U.F.A. (Ultra Fine Accuracy) caliber introduced in 2025, these timepieces not only feature a refined movement but also respond to persistent requests from watch enthusiasts for more compact diver options. The watches are equipped with a redesigned bracelet, incorporating practical features for contemporary wearers, marking a forward-thinking step for the brand.

These new additions, the SLGB023 and SLGB025, share a 40.8mm case crafted from High-Intensity Titanium, boasting a slim 12.9mm profile and an impressive 300-meter water resistance. The case design, characteristic of the Evolution 9 series, merges a predominantly brushed finish with precise Zaratsu-polished accents, creating a sophisticated yet robust aesthetic. A unidirectional bezel with a ceramic insert matches the dial colors of blue and green, while the updated bezel font offers a contemporary feel. The distinctive Ushio dials, inspired by the Japanese term for "tide," feature an elegant rippling-water pattern with a subtle gradient effect and luminous hour markers. The watch also presents a reimagined handset, moving away from the traditional cathedral style to a more modern, legible design, featuring a prominent hour hand, an arrow-shaped minute hand, and a slender lollipop seconds hand, all enhanced with Lumibrite for optimal visibility.

At the heart of these new divers is the advanced Grand Seiko Spring Drive 9RB1 movement, delivering remarkable accuracy of ±20 seconds per year. This 33-jewel caliber, with its slender 4.7mm profile, contributes to the watches' wearability and offers a substantial 72-hour power reserve. The watches are complemented by a newly engineered High-Intensity Titanium bracelet, combining brushed and polished elements, and a clasp with a toolless micro-adjustment system providing 6mm of fine-tuning, alongside an 18mm dive extension. An integrated Grand Seiko logo ensures secure clasp closure, preventing accidental opening.

The introduction of the SLGB023 and SLGB025 represents Grand Seiko's dedication to innovation and customer feedback. Their refined dimensions, precise movements, and practical bracelet enhancements underscore the brand's position as a leader in luxury watchmaking, offering both exceptional performance and elegant design at a competitive price point.
