Earthen Company, a rising name in the horology world, has once again enhanced its acclaimed Summit MK2 collection by unveiling three captivating new ceramic case colors. Moving beyond the conventional black and white, these latest additions—Dune Devil, Glade, and Après-Bleu—inject a refreshing palette of beige, dark green, and navy into their robust field watches. This strategic expansion aims to offer a broader appeal to consumers seeking both durability and expressive design, all while upholding the brand's commitment to affordability and mechanical precision.
Since its inception in 2025, Earthen Company, based in Hong Kong, has carved a niche with its compact, ceramic-cased field watches, notably the original Summit collection. These initial models, characterized by a 38mm case, an oversized crown, clear dials, and a reliable Miyota automatic movement, quickly garnered attention for their compelling value, retailing at less than a thousand dollars. The brand has progressively built upon this success, introducing variations like the Nightfall and Moonglow, which incorporated aventurine dials, further diversifying their offerings. The latest update, however, marks a significant aesthetic shift by introducing more playful and versatile color options.
The newly launched Summit MK2 models—Dune Devil, Glade, and Après-Bleu—each boast a distinct personality. The Dune Devil variant exudes a warm, vintage outdoor vibe with its beige ceramic case, brown dial, and vibrant orange accents on the crown and dial ring. It is complemented by orange and dark brown FKM rubber straps. The Glade model, arguably the most adventurous, features a dark green ceramic case paired with a full green lume dial that glows intensely in low light, alongside subtle mint-green touches on the crown. This version comes with grey and green FKM straps, offering a dynamic contrast. The Après-Bleu, with its sophisticated navy ceramic case and matching dial, accented by cream-colored hands and indexes, provides a more subdued yet equally engaging option, reminiscent of classic designs but with a modern twist. It is supplied with navy and khaki FKM straps.
These new timepieces retain the signature 38mm by 10mm Summit MK2 case dimensions, constructed entirely from ceramic for both the case and bezel. Key design elements such as the distinctive skier-descent graphic at 6 o'clock and the upgraded domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, first introduced with the MK2 platform, are consistently applied across all new models. Furthermore, the dial layout has been subtly refined; Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock have been replaced with rectangular indexes, while the inverted triangle at 12 o’clock remains a constant. The markers are multi-layered and pad-printed, adding a sense of depth and refinement to the watch faces. Large numerals and a railway-style outer track ensure optimal legibility for quick timekeeping.
Powering these watches is the dependable Miyota 9039 automatic movement, known for its 24 jewels, 28,800 vibrations/hour frequency, and approximately 42 hours of power reserve. Each watch is thoughtfully packaged with two color-coordinated FKM rubber straps, providing wearers with immediate versatility and the ability to customize their look. While these new ceramic colorways are part of the brand’s permanent collection, their production quantities will be managed in line with Earthen Company's current manufacturing capabilities. Maintaining the accessible price point of USD 899 (excluding VAT), these new Summit MK2 editions continue to offer exceptional value, blending innovative materials with distinctive design for watch enthusiasts.
