Bulgari's latest announcement at Geneva Watch Days 2026 highlights a strategic move to integrate titanium into its beloved Aluminium collection, giving rise to the new Titanio series. This development sees Bulgari applying grade 5 titanium to its most recognizable everyday watches, keeping the classic design that combines a lightweight metal with black rubber. The Titanio collection is presented in two distinct versions: a GMT and a chronograph.
Tracing its lineage to the pioneering Bulgari Aluminium watch of 1998, the Titanio collection carries forward a legacy of unconventional luxury. The original Aluminium model broke new ground with its fusion of aluminum and rubber components, a bold choice in high-end watchmaking at the time. The double-logo bezel, distinct dial, and feather-light construction became hallmarks of the series, features faithfully adopted and enhanced in the new titanium iteration, ensuring the collection retains its laid-back, athletic appeal.
The Titanio series expands with two compelling models, each designed for precision and durability. The Bulgari Titanio GMT features a compact 40mm case, meticulously crafted from sandblasted grade 5 titanium, complemented by a black rubber bezel, and further accented with DLC-coated titanium for the crown and caseback. Boasting a water resistance of 100 meters, its black dial is a study in contrasts with matte and glossy finishes, luminous white indices, and grey galvanic-treated hands. The 24-hour disc and date window at 3 o’clock enhance its functionality, powered by the automatic B192 calibre with a 50-hour reserve. Accompanying this is the more robust Titanio Chronograph, housed in a 41mm sandblasted titanium case with matching crown and pushers, also featuring black DLC accents and 100m water resistance. Its matte black dial hosts azure circular chronograph counters and a tachymeter scale, driven by the automatic B381 calibre with a 42-hour power reserve. Both models are fitted with black rubber straps with titanium links and offer an optional titanium bracelet, delivering a harmonious blend of style, performance, and the enduring spirit of the Aluminium collection.
