Founded by Anissa Bader and supported by Clamax, a Geneva-based manufacturer of watch components, Akhor made its mark in the horology world at last year’s Geneva Watch Days with the debut of the “Le Temps en Equilibre”. This innovative model featured a patented dual-disc mechanism driven by the brand's proprietary manual-winding calibre AK-10. Maintaining its commitment to excellence, all Akhor timepieces, starting from 2026, proudly bear the prestigious Poinçon de Genève certification, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.
This year, Akhor has returned to Geneva Watch Days with refined versions of the AK-10, now adorned with dials crafted from natural Stromatolite and Maw Sit Sit stones. These timepieces continue to embody Bader's “suspended time” concept, utilizing a patented two-level double-disc architecture meticulously engineered by Clamax. The dial features a solid upper plate that houses a central seconds hand, while the hour and minute indicators are subtly revealed from beneath this plate, pointing to a chapter ring on the lower disc.
The new collection includes models in stainless steel and rose gold, both retaining the elegant 39mm x 11mm cushion-shaped profile of the original time-only watches. Each watch is equipped with a crown featuring the brand's distinctive hobnail knurling, enhancing winding grip. Sapphire crystals on both the front and back offer a clear view of the intricate layered dial and the finely crafted movement. The rose gold variant is further accentuated by a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds.
The standout feature of these new releases is the integration of rare ornamental stones on the upper dial disc, creating a striking contrast with the radiant white sunburst lower dial. The rose gold model is paired with red Stromatolite, a fossil dating back 3.5 billion years, known for its rich, swirling patterns of red, ochre, and burgundy, complementing the rose gold case and applied markers beautifully. Conversely, the steel model features Maw Sit Sit, a rare stone exclusively sourced from Myanmar's Himalayan foothills. Its intensely vibrant, almost electric green hue, interspersed with dark mineral veins, creates a captivating visual interplay with the white dial background.
Powering these exquisite timepieces is the manual-winding AK-10 movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a substantial 60-hour power reserve from a single barrel. Composed of 117 components, the movement boasts a variable inertia balance and a stop-seconds mechanism. Beyond its Poinçon de Genève hallmark, the movement is also chronometer-certified, attesting to its precision and reliability.
The AK-10 Stromatolite and Maw Sit Sit models are presented with elegant white alligator leather straps, secured with a matching rose gold or steel folding clasp. Pricing details for these remarkable timepieces are yet to be announced.
